Optimal Economic and Environmental Indices for Hybrid PV/Wind-Based Battery Storage System

This paper shows an application of hybrid PV/wind energy and battery storage in the islanded area. work’s main target allows distributed resources to contribute efficiently economic feasibility enhance environmental impact renewable source. Several factors such as levelized cost (COE), greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, loss power supply probability are studied. A combined solution is compromise aspects via Utopia point approach investigated. The optimal configuration along with battery-storage diesel engine secondary source obtained meta-heuristic optimizers: Genetic Algorithm (GA) Particle-Swarm Optimization (PSO) impartial comparison results HOMER software. show that PV (about 46%) wind turbine 13%) shared significantly primary sources 39%) options.
